EXCELLENCE AWARDEE:
Law Firm Leader of the Year (≤200 employees)
Amanda is the Managing Partner of the recently established Banton Group. Commencing operations in February 2020, the firm has grown significantly from an initial team of 9 lawyers to a present total of 20. Specialising in large commercial dispute resolution, restructuring/insolvency, and class actions, Banton Group has cemented itself as a prominent industry leader.
Considering the global pandemic hit Australia just weeks after Banton Group commenced, and that each of Banton Group’s undertakings are against leading top-tier firms and individuals, the continued success of the firm is a testament to Amanda’s leadership. Banton Group consistently secures important outcomes for its clients. In the process, major developments in Australian jurisprudence are often the result, with the most recent being in the group costs orders space.
Amanda’s leadership style emphasises mentoring; fostering a flexible merit-based culture within her firm. Unlike other firm environments, Amanda’s team are entrusted with significant responsibility as soon as they demonstrate ability, recognising the potential of outstanding performers. Amanda and her team have successfully recovered well over half a billion dollars in settlements and judgments.
Owing to her relentless commitment to excellence and the close mentorship of her team, it is clear that Amanda is a true leader.
